Cast Announced for BSCT Production of 'Mary Poppins'

Waterbury, CT - Auditions for the Blessed Sacrament Children's Theatre production of MARY POPPINS went very well and the production team noted that the greatest number of children ever participated in the audition process.

Director Bob Tansley had indicated that the selection was going to be "very difficult based on the level of talent by these kids." Many young performers from past shows came out to audition, and they were joined by a whole new group of talented kids. Call backs were held for the major roles in the musical.

The director invited one parent from each family to sit in the back of the room and watch the call back process. While this may have put a little more pressure on the production team, Mr. Tansley felt that it would be good experience for the kids.

Audition result letters were recently mailed out to everyone who came out, and parents were cautioned to allow the child to open the letter when it arrived.

BSCT is pleased to announce that they have 30 schools in Mary Poppins and 107 children who are participating. is very excited to have so many kids wanting to be in Mary Poppins. "Whatever role kids get they will be having a jolly 'oliday with Mary."
