Cast Announced for Golden Years' 'Peter Pan'

Director Bob Tansley has announced the cast for the production of "Peter Pan" scheduled for July at Rotella Magnet School.

Bob Tansley has posted the the cast list for The Waterbury Brass Golden Years Theatre Company "Senior Citizen Peter Pan."

The director wrote that "There are not many principal parts but this is truly one of the best ensemble shows."

The production team still has many parts to cast, including Pirates, Lost Boys, Brave Girls (formally Indians,) many with dialogue and they will be doing so at the first four or five rehearsals.

The initial rehearsal for "Peter Pan" will be held on May 1 at Rotella Magnet School. If you missed auditions and would like to join the cast of Peter Pan, come to Rotella Interdistrict Magnet School on Wednesday, May 1 at 6:00 p.m. The group for senior citizens 60+ will be taking additional cast members at the first rehearsal.

After auditions held on Apr. 13, 16, and 18, the production team met to cast the various roles needed for "Peter Pan." The cast announcement was made soon after, with those cast in principal roles notified by telephone.

The role of Peter Pan will be shared by Pearl Wynkoop and Abby Nemec.

Naugatuck Patch Mayor Nancy Sasso Janis, who played Marty in last year's Golden Years production of "Grease," will cover the role of Wendy Darling for three performances only. Lorainne Brandolini, who played Frenchy last summer, will also fly in the role of Michael and Suzanne Daddona, who portrayed Rizzo in "Grease," will play the role of John Darling.

Marianna Vagnini-Daddamo and Fran McIntyre will share the role of the children's mother Mrs. Darling. Sal Mancini and Joe Guarino, who shared the role of Doody in "Grease," will share the role of Mr. Darling.

Cast in the role of Tiger Lily are Anabela Soares (Sandy in "Grease") and Angela Pazsak (Patty Simcock in "Grease.")

Community theater performer Tom Denihan and Al Reiff will share the role of Captain Hook.

Sharing the role of the Captain's sidekick are Brian Lally (Teen Angel in "Grease") and Kathy Miller (Jan in "Grease.")

Connie Luciano (Miss in "Grease") will portray the role of the adult Wendy at all performances.

Peggy Taylor, who was in the ensemble for "Grease," will appear as Jane and Faith Meo will play Liza. Terry Breen will play the role of Starkey.

Janice Ash will play Noodler and Joanne Battipaglia will play Slightly.
