Update: GoFundMe Page Set Up for Third Grader Who Died Suddenly
The Waterbury student suffered an asthma attack at an after-school program Thursday.

Updated at 1:41 p.m. on Friday, March 4, 2016: A GoFundMe crowdfunding page has been established to help pay for funeral services for Waterbury third-grader Sharmaya Ogman, the nine-year-old Duggan School student who died this week of an asthma attack.
As of Friday afternoon, the "Sharmaya's Wings" page had generated more than $4,200 - from 88 donations - toward a goal of $10,000.
"Due to the family's financial situation we are asking for donations to assist with sending our precious angel off gracefully," wrote Iesha Galazo, who created the page. "All donations would greatly be appreciated."

Updated at 11:38 a.m. on Friday, March 4, 2016: Nine-year-old Sharmaya Ogman has been identified as the Waterbury student who died suddenly Thursday at an after-school event, according to school district officials.
Ogman, a third grader at the Duggan School, is believed to have suffered an asthma attack and was pronounced dead after being rushed to the hospital.
Waterbury Schools Superintendent Kathleen Ouellette told NBC Connecticut News that the district is grieving over the loss.
"We’re extremely distraught over the situation. Certainly our hearts go out to the family, our students, and our staff," she said.

Details of the incident were not immediately available, but Fox61 News reports that the student's identity has not been released.
The after-school event was attended by numerous students from different schools, and grief counselors have been called in to assist.
