Coronavirus Vaccination Site To Open In Waterbury

The site's opening coincides with the next phase of vaccination distribution.

WATERBURY, CT — A drive-through COVID-19 vaccination site will open Jan. 25 at Post University's Country Club Road campus. The vaccination site is a joint venture between the university and Waterbury HEALTH.

The next phase of Connecticut's coronavirus vaccine rollout commenced Monday, and residents 75 and older can now register online for their vaccine. Once registered, participants in the Vaccine Administration Management System will be emailed guidance for the appointment process for receiving the vaccine.

This public clinic is expected to bolster greater Waterbury’s ability to quickly get shots into arms of citizens. The site plans to administer 500 doses per day during its first week and up to 2,000 vaccines a day based on vaccine availability.
