Juvenile Assaulted at Park in Naugatuck: Police

Naugatuck police say at 10:27 p.m. on October 24 officers responded to Cumberland Farms to meet with a victim of an assault.

The victim told police that the assault occurred earlier at Fairchild Park by an acquaintance, Deion Lewis, 19, of Locust Street, police said.

Lewis approached the victim, who was with friends at the park, and allegedly punched him several times causing injury to his nose and upper lip, police said.

The victim ran to Cumberland Farms to report the assault. Lewis was later found on Cherry Street.

He was released after posting $5,000 and is charged with disorderly conduct, threatening and second-degree reckless endangerment.
