Sunset Meadow Vineyards is leading the way with a wine industry first

by producing the first estate-grown blush wine aged in rum barrels on the wine market.

Sunset Meadow Vineyards “Rum Barrel Aged Sunset Blush” will be available for a Limited 1st time release.

Sunset Meadow Vineyards very popular wine “Sunset Blush” is a semi-sweet blush wine bursting with fruits flavors and aromas. In yet another attempt at wine making innovation, we chose our sweet, fruity wine and enhanced it by taking it out of stainless steel and aging in dark rum barrels from Berkshire Mountain Distillery.

This develops the fruit forward nature as well as adds an exciting new element to the wine.

Sunset Meadow Vineyards 2014 Bourbon Barrel-Aged St. Croix was the first 100% Connecticut estate-wine to be aged on a Bourbon Barrel.

Our family likes to think “outside the box” when it comes to winemaking and offer the wine consumer wines that are out of the norm, as well as the traditional wines. That creativity is what attracted the wine industry to award us with the distinction of “101 Best Wineries in America.
