Naugatuck Borough Music Festival Scheduled for April 25
This annual event celebrates music in the borough schools and this year will feature instrumental selections.
The Naugatuck Public School music department will host the annual Borough Music Festival this week at the high school auditorium.
The festival, alternately called 'Borofest' or 'Fest of Borough,' will be presented on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 7:00pm in the Davis Auditorium. As parking at the high school is limited due to the ongoing construction, a shuttle bus will be running from Western School and Andrew Avenue School starting at 6:20pm. The buses leave at 10 minute interval and will return people to their cars after the concert.
Hundreds of Naugatuck students in grades four through 12 will perform. The concert, which alternates between instrumental and vocal music each year, will feature instrumental selections from a variety of composers and genres. This year's guest conductor is Gary Partridge.
