Naugatuck Domestic Home Invasion: Accused Broke In Holding a Pipe: Police

BREAKING: The accused was held in lieu of a $25,000 bond, police said.

NAUGATUCK, CT — Police say a 40-year-old Naugatuck man broke into a former girlfriend's home while holding a pipe. At 2:23 a.m. Wednesday officers responded to a disturbance where two male parties were reported to be arguing outside a residence, police said.

The accused, identified as Michael Trombetto, of Melbourne Court was found to be a former boyfriend of the victim, police said. It was determined that Trombetto had arrived at the victim's home and forced entry to the residence by damaging a door, police said.

When Trombetto entered the home he began to argue with the victim and the victim's friend, police said. Trombetto was reported to have been holding a pipe at the time of the altercation and was able to be forcibly pushed out of the home where the argument continued until the officers arrived, police said.
