“Our project’s goal is to educate our community about the different types of cancer and their effects, while also raising money for the patients at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. We want to make an impact on those who have to face such a painful battle and are struggling to pay for treatments. To do this, we are bringing the community together by hosting a fair on the Naugatuck Green,” Emily and Cassidy said.
All the money raised during the day will go directly towards St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. There will be a raffle, live music, a DJ, vendors, crafts, games and a karate demo.

The students have set an ambitious goal of raising $3,000 at the fair.
“This cause is very important to us and has affected us on a very personal level. We understand that families that suffer from cancer also suffer from very expensive bills because of the treatments they have to undergo. St. Jude Children’s Hospital doesn’t turn down their patients due to their financial state. Their program is mostly supported by donations and that’s why it is so important to us that we raise money for them,” Emily and Cassidy said.
