Naugatuck Police: Woman Shoplifts Car Stereo from Walmart, Runs From Police

Police say the incident occurred on February 5.

Naugatuck police say at 10:50 p.m. on February 5, officers responded to Walmart for a shoplifting complaint.

The accused, Maria Caselles, 32, of Kings Center in Derby, is accused of stealing batteries and a car stereo worth $152.02, police said.

When approached by store security Caselles allegedly ran from the store but she was located nearby.

She was released after posting $2,500 bond. She was charged with breach of peace, and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny.
