Naugatuck Students Help Repair Fields at Union City Little League
The high school students used the project as an opportunity to apply their skills and give back to the community.

Eight Naugatuck High School students helped repair splintered wooden rooftops on the baseball fields at Union City Little League on Morris Street, the Republican-American reports.
The students, who are a part of George Macary’s class, applied the skills they learned in his class on a real project.
Macary teaches “Introduction to Construction” and “World of Technology” at Naugatuck High School.

According to the paper, the students expect to finish the project this week. Brown Roofing donated the materials for the project while Home Depot provided the wood at a discounted rate.
Macary told the paper the project was a way for students to give to future generations and hopes his students will be able to participate in similar projects in the future.
