Naugatuck YMCA Race4Chase free triathlon for kids

Naugatuck , CT, March 24, 2017 — The Naugatuck YMCA is hosting the Race4Chase Kid’s Triathlon program for the second year in a row this summer! Race4Chase is a youth triathlon program aimed to provide kids aged 6 to 12 with a safe, healthy non-competitive environment to discover the sport of triathlon. This free, 6 week training program will bring together kids from all different backgrounds and educate them on how to adopt a healthy lifestyle, coach them to develop a foundation of athletic skills, and inspire them to aim high in sports and in life.
Race4Chase, a youth triathlon program founded by Rebecca and Stephen Kowalski’s CMAK
(Chase Michael Anthony Kowalski) Foundation, celebrates the life of Chase Kowalski, who was lost at the Sandy Hook tragedy. At six years of age Chase successfully completed his first triathlon and won his age group! The program was developed to remember his life and spirit through the achievements and experiences of other children in the sport.
