New Block of Tickets Available for 'Aladdin - The Musical' on Broadway
Aladdin - The Musical has been extended through November 23.
New block of tickets for Aladdin - The Musical went on sale April 13 for performances September 2 through November 23, 2014.
The musical stars Adam Jacobs in the title role and Courtney Reed is Jasmine. The show is directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw. It is playing at the New Amsterdam Theatre in NYC.
Adapted from the 1992 Disney animated film, Aladdin is the story of a street urchin who uses the help of a magical Genie (played by James Monroe Iglehart) to win the heart of Princess Jasmine. The musical features a book by Chad Beguelin, music by Oscar and Tony winner Alan Menken and lyrics by Tim Rice and the late Howard Ashman.
The production also features Jonathan Freeman as Jafar, who is the voice of the villain in Disney’s animated feature Aladdin. Clifton Davis plays the Sultan. Don Darryl Rivera appears as Iago with Brian Gonzales, Brandon O’Neill and Jonathan Schwartz as Aladdin’s sidekicks Babkak, Kassim and Omar.
