Naugatuck High School senior asks for help with a community article
My name is Steffanie Dube, and I am a high school senior with hopes of majoring in Journalism. An idea spurred within me a little while ago of writing an article for The Greyhound News (Naugatuck High School's online news site), and I decided to take on my challenging idea but I cannot do it by myself. I need your help.
The idea is a bi-weekly article called “Your Voice, Your Choice” that will ideally be published in on the Naugatuck Patch, along with The Greyhound News. It will encompass the voice of the townspeople and the students of this community. My goal is to allow everyone an opportunity to let their thoughts, opinions, and concerns be expressed and also have the ability to connect the school community and town community by seeing that we do, in fact, share a similar mindset. Not only that but it will serve as an impetus for the Board of Education Student Representatives, Ben Wierzbicki and myself. We can share this information with the Board of Education each month.
With high hopes and with your help, I can begin to collect the information integral to this article! I need students and Naugatuck citizens to help create polls, interviews, and questionnaires/surveys and who are willing to gather information and data from outside the school; and those that will use the data in this bi-weekly article to inform the public.
