Police: Naugatuck Man Damaged Plow Truck During a Dispute

Naugatuck police say the alleged incident occurred during last weekends snowstorm on Apple Blossom Road.

Typically, plow drivers are your friend, and you can’t wait to see them, but that wasn’t the case for one Naugatuck man.

On Feb. 22, at 2:10 a.m. officers responded to Apple Blossom Road for a criminal mischief complaint.

There was an argument involving a Naugatuck resident and a plow truck driver, police said.

The accused, Jose Santos, 62, of Apple Blossom Road, allegedly struck the plow truck driver’s vehicle with a flashlight, police said.

Santos allegedly damaged a LED light and mirror on the victim’s truck, police said.

He was charged with third-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.

Santos was released after posting $500.
