Preview of 'Forever Plaid' at Newington Mainstage

The cast and production team of 'Forever Plaid' hail from all over the state of CT and the show is appropriate for all ages.

Newington Mainstage Presents the Heavenly Hit Musical

Forever Plaid

Forever Plaid, the deliciously goofy off-Broadway smash, will be presented by Newington Mainstage for 3 PERFORMANCES ONLY, March 28-March 30.

Forever Plaid, the hilarious 1950s revue written by Stuart Ross with musical arrangements by James Raitt, centers on the Plaids--four young, eager singers killed in a car crash on the way to their first big concert. Now miraculously revived, the Plaids have the chance to fulfill their dreams and perform the show that never was.  Singing in the closest of harmony, squabbling boyishly over the smallest intonations, and executing their charmingly outlandish choreography with over-zealous precision, the Plaids are guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

“Forever Plaid,” in fabulous four part harmonies, features the music of Sam Cooke, Burt Bacharach, the Beatles, and many other favorites.  Patrons will be rolling in the aisles - when they're not humming along to the nostalgic pop hits of the 1950s.  Newington Mainstage’s production of “Forever Plaid” stars

Al Girard of East Hartford, Mike Gowdy of Wethersfield, Eric Michael Gray of New Haven, and Tony Leone of Southington.  Andrew Gadwah of Meriden serves as “Forever Plaid’s” Music Director and Cindy Lesser of Wethersfield & Kelly Boucher of Ellington will Co-Direct.
