Featuring bagpipes with attitude and drums with a Scottish accent, the Red Hot Chilli Pipers are a rock band so hot, they carry their own health warning. The nine-piece ensemble consisting of pipers, guitarists, keyboardist and drummers have been rocking the world from New York to Beijing with musicianship of the highest order and a passion for pipes that leaves audiences breathless.

Since taking home the top prize on the U.K. talent show, “When Will I Be Famous” in 2007, the Red Hot Chilli Pipers haven't stopped for a breath other than to inflate their bagpipes. Their trademarked sound combines traditional pipe tunes, like “The Flowers of Scotland,” “The Hills of Argyll” and “Amazing Grace,” with contemporary rock anthems like Queen’s “We Will Rock You,” Coldplay’s “Clocks” and Snow Patrol’s “Chasing Cars.”

For the past six years, The Chillis have been rocking their pipes all over the world from festivals to concerts to A-list celebrity events. Together they have created three highly successful albums and have just released their fourth entitled “Music for the Kilted Generation.” Their previous live album and DVD have gone triple platinum in Scotland, and their second album received platinum status in Scotland and silver status in the U.K.  Collectively, the band has been awarded four music degrees from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, and each piper and drummer have played at the top level in bagpiping.

Prior to The Red Hot Chilli Pipers’ performance, Ogham Art will on hand in the lobby offering unique gifts that feature the ancient alphabet of Ogham.  Patrons are invited to stop by their display and learn about the mysterious script of Ogham used centuries ago in Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
