TORRINGTON, Conn. (Aug. 19, 2014) — Curtain Call Kids will take audiences past the second star on the right and straight on to Neverland as it presents the musical Peter Pan Jr. on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 22 and 23 in Torrington.

The Friday, Aug. 22, show will begin at 7 p.m. and there will be two shows on Saturday, Aug. 23, at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Both shows will be held in the 300-seat, state-of-the-art Nancy Marine Studio Theatre at 82 Main St., next to the Warner Theatre. There are 50 actors in the all-children cast, ages 6 to 17, who are residents of Watertown, Middlebury, Oakville, Southbury, Woodbury, Thomaston, Waterbury, Oxford, Cheshire, and Morris. The show is produced by Curtain Call Kids, a children’s community theater troupe that serves western Connecticut and offers its programs through Middlebury Parks and Recreation.

Peter Pan Jr. tells the story of a mischievous boy who can fly and never grows up on the island of Neverland as the leader of his gang, the Lost Boys. His adventures include Captain Hook and his band of pirates, mermaids, Indians, fairies, and of course the Darling children, Wendy, John, and Michael.
Peter Pan is played by 14-year-old Middlebury resident Lauren Stango. Wendy is played by 14-year-old Woodbury resident Kate Rupar. And Captain Hook is played by 17-year-old Oakville resident Brandon Arnold.
