Raymond K. Foley Award Winners Announced

It is with great pleasure that the Naugatuck Parent School Council announces Michael & Virginia Doxsey as the recipients of the 2016-2017 Raymond K. Foley Award. The Raymond K. Foley Award, presented by the Naugatuck Parent School Council, honors an individual or group who has demonstrated outstanding service and unselfish dedication contributing to the betterment of Naugatuck children.

Mr. John DeBisschop nominated Mr. and Mrs. Doxsey noting that they epitomize the award's vision and have dedicated their time and talents to their community. Mike and Ginny have been involved in the Naugatuck Boy Scouts for over 8 years. They have also generously given their time to other clubs such as Peter J. Foley, NHS Marching Band, Western School Theater (where Mrs. Doxsey was the choreographer,) and Naugatuck YMCA to name a few.

This year's Foley Award Dinner will be held on Tuesday, May 9th at Leary's Crystal Room in Naugatuck. Tickets are $35 for adults and $25 for children. There is a cash bar social hour from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Dinner begins at 7:00. Tickets are available at the Board of Education and at all Naugatuck Public Schools. The deadline for purchasing tickets is 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2nd . Tickets will not be available at the door.
