Rehearsals Begin for Naugatuck Community Choir's Spring Concerts
Singers of all voice parts are welcome and no audition is required.

Don't miss this opportunity to join one of the finest community choirs in the state of Connecticut under the direction of Mark Silva. The choir meets every Monday evening, 7:00 PM at the Naugatuck High School Choir Room. On certain holidays and school snow days rehearsals shall take place at the Salem Lutheran Church at 14 Salem Street, Naugatuck CT. Singers of all voice parts are welcome!
New members are encouraged to come on down and join. Open registration dates for Spring 2014 are January 13th, 20th & 27th.
No audition is required! Vocalists from ages 16 and older are welcome to become members. The choir is open to people from all over the Naugatuck Valley Region and beyond. Dues are $60 (this includes sheet music). Members also participate in various fundraising efforts.
Director Mark Silva said this about the choir's recent A Christmas Vision concert: “I think our December concerts went very well! They were the first of what I hope will be many performances with Brett Judson. We’re fortunate to have found such a gifted, disciplined and conscientious accompanist.
Mr. Silva continues: "This spring we’re preparing a program by baroque composers Handel and Vivaldi. The most familiar of these being Vivaldi’s “Gloria”. The plan at present is to add strings and trumpets to compliment Brett’s accompanying."
The director encourages anyone interested in joining the choir to come to a rehearsal. "The Naugatuck Community Choir not only serves the community, but is made up of the community. All interested should come and give us a try. I promise showing up will be the hardest part!”
