Running to Find a Cure

Running for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

The fight against cancer goes on. There is no one I know who can say they DO NOT have a friend or family member who has battled this terrible illness.

I have found a way I can fight this disease - through the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training.
On November 4, 2017, I will be running my first half marathon (13.1 miles) not only to help explore new frontiers in cancer treatments, but in dedication of Mrs. Trinity Ottowell.

I had the honor of meeting Mrs. Ottowell in August of 2015, while coaching her daughter Samantha’s cheerleading team. When I met Mrs. Ottowell on that August day, I felt like I had already known her for years. Samantha and her younger brother DJ, spoke so highly of her, it was a pleasure finally getting the chance to meet her.

Mrs. Ottowell was diagnosed with Leukemia in March of 2014 and lost her hard fought battle on September 28, 2015. With our cheerleading competition just days away, we decided as a team to wear orange bows to celebrate Trinity's life and the battle against Leukemia.

My goal is to raise $5000 to help the fight and I am asking for your support. Your tax- deductible contribution will help our community step up the fight against Leukemia and Lymphoma.

All the funds I raise during this time, will be funding lifesaving research around the country. I am dedicating this marathon not only to all those I know who have cancer right now or have lost the battle, but especially for Mrs. Trinity Ottowell!

Thank you for your support!
