Do you have unneeded prescription drugs in your home? There is a safe and responsible way to dispose of them this weekend.

Saturday, Sept. 26, is National Prescription Take Back Day.* Many municipal police departments and state police barracks will be accepting unneeded prescription drugs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Why take back prescription drugs?
Abuse of prescription drugs is a public health problem that is getting bigger, according to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. Getting unneeded drugs out of homes can help prevent drug abuse and accidental poisonings and overdoses.
