GIVE LOCAL
“MONEY IS A GOOD SOLDIER, SIR, AND WILL ON.”
FROM THE MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR
FOUR HUNDRED YEARS OF MEMORIES
As part of the “Give Local” event that will be state wide on May 3 and May 4, Shakesperience will have a 36 hour Shakespeare-a-thon. The fun starts at 7am and continues through 7 pm the following day. All events will take place at our theatre, at 117 Bank Street, Waterbury, CT. All events are free and open to the public. Go to www.ShakesperienceProductions.org for a complete menu.
Come join family, friends, schools, actors, and volunteers as everything Bard—and more— is celebrated. There will be a performance of “Twelfth Night” by students of Scott Schulte’s Waterbury Arts Magnet School class. See “Gulliver’s Travels” with students from Roger William’s school in Meriden. Join Waterbury Y preschoolers to watch “The Prince and the Pauper.” St. Timothy’s school in West Hartford will be here working on their production of “Julius Caesar.” Our own Acting Intensive class will present “Two Gentleman of Verona” along with their instructors, and much, much, more!
Where else could one see a new one-man show that is referred to as “Rosencrantz and Frankenstein?” SORRY, NO ZOMBIES!
Coffee and tea will be frequently available. Really, who could ask for more?
Shakesperience needs at least 400 people to come through these Bank Street doors to help commemorate 400 years of the great Will.
PLEASE COMETH!!!
