Swing Shift Performs in Bunker Hill Park

Waterbury, CT - The Free Friday Night Summer Concert Series in Schofield Park in the Bunker Hill section of Waterbury opened on Friday, June 9th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and drinks were available for purchase from Frankie's Hot dogs. Some concert goers packed a picnic supper and brought blankets or chairs to join in the neighborhood fun as they ended the work week with great live music, friends, food and fun. An ice cream truck was parked nearby. Many also brought along a non-perishable item which be will donated to the food bank.

SWING SHIFT, featuring Dave Gardino and his band performed many favorite tunes from the past. WATR morning host Tom Chute sang the lead on some of the most memorable songs.

The concerts at Bunker Hill Park are sponsored by The Arts and Tourism Commission of Waterbury and the Bunker Hill Neighborhood Association.
