Tire, Vehicle Thefts Increase In Naugatuck: Police
Naugatuck police ask the community to remain vigilant in light of a recent significant increase in tire and vehicle thefts.

NAUGATUCK, CT β Police ask the community to remain vigilant this holiday season in light of a significant increase in tire and vehicle thefts in Naugatuck over the past few days.
In a Facebook post, police said these thefts are occurring at all hours of the day and asked residents to remain aware of their surroundings and notify the department of any possible suspicious activity.
Police also provided the following tips for residents:

- If possible, install security cameras where vehicles are parked. For those with βRingβ cameras, be sure to download the mobile app, and join the Naugatuck neighbors community to share videos and live information regarding criminal activity in your area.
- Park your vehicle inside a garage if you have one.
- Do not leave keys or valuables in the car.
- Do not leave the car running, even if only for a short time or to warm it up.
"Stay safe, stay vigilant Naugatuck," police said on Facebook.
