An uptick in thefts of Hyuandi vehicles has been reported across Naugatuck, according to police.

NAUGATUCK, CT — An uptick in thefts of Hyuandi vehicles has been reported across Naugatuck, according to police.
In a Facebook post, police said unknown suspects in a white minivan/SUV-style vehicle tried to steal a Hyundai parked near Bradley Street, either late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning. The suspects were deterred once the vehicle's security alarm went off.
A 2017 Hyundai Elantra was also reported stolen from Oak Street around 8 a.m. on Wednesday, police said.

According to police, the windows of both vehicles were broken to gain access to them.
Police also posted a phot of the the suspects' vehicle, which they noted may be stolen. The photo can be viewed here.

"We want the public to be aware and remain vigilant, lock and remove valuables from their vehicles and contact the police department to report any suspicious activity," police said on Facebook.
