Waterbury Club Owner Killed In Shooting: Reports
A Waterbury club owner was shot and killed over the weekend.
WATERBURY, CT — The owner of Salsa Tropical Social Club was shot and killed in Waterbury Saturday night, according to WTNH News-8. Police responded at 11:11 p.m. for a shots-fired report at 406 Watertown Ave.
The victim was shot outside the club and transported to Waterbury Hospital before police arrived.
Dennis Santos, 51, died at the hospital, WFSB 3-TV reported. Several people were involved in a fight in the club's parking lot.

Ramon Rodriguez, 44, of Waterbury, is accused of firing several shots in the parking lot. Santos was the only person hit, WFSB 3-TV reported.
Rodriguez fled the area but was located a short while later and taken into police custody, according to WTNH News-8. Police also recovered a loaded gun.

Rodriguez was charged with murder, first-degree reckless endangerment, unlawful discharge of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit, possession of weapons in a motor vehicle, tampering with evidence, alteration of firearm identification mark, and second-degree breach of peace. He was held on $2 million bond, according to WTNH News-8.
In another fatal shooting in Waterbury over the weekend, a restaurant owner is accused of killing a man following an argument at Mikey's Jamaican Restaurant.
