Waterbury Man, 23, Fatally Shot In New Haven: Police

NEW HAVEN, CT —A Waterbury man was fatally shot inside his car in New Haven Monday night, police said.

Around 9:30 p.m., police were called to South Frontage Road, between York and College streets for a report of a shooting, according to police spokesperson Scott Shumway. Cops found 23-year-old shooting victim Jorge Delgado. Rushed a few blocks to Yale New Haven Hospital, he died from gunshot wound injuries, Shumway said.

The Bureau of Identification responded, processed the scene, and collected ballistic evidence. Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit are leading the investigation.
