Winter Wonderland Family Fun Day at Waterbury's Palace Theater

PALACE THEATER EXPANDS “WINTER WONDERLAND FAMILY FUN DAY”
“Rock the Rink” Event Scrubbed to Extend Family Friendly Afternoon Activities

In an effort to accommodate the overwhelmingly positive response to the Palace Theater’s “Winter Wonderland Family Fun Day” event on Saturday, Dec. 12, the theater has extended the event time from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The afternoon of holiday themed family activities was originally planned to end at 4 p.m., allowing a transition to the evening’s previously scheduled adult-only “Rock the Rink” holiday party. As pre-registration for that event was not as enthusiastic, the decision was made to cancel “Rock the Rink” in favor of lengthening the family-friendly event time.

Ticket holders for “Rock the Rink” are being contacted by the box office and will be given the opportunity to receive a full refund, or exchange their tickets for admission to the afternoon’s “Family Fun Day” activities, which include the opportunity to skate on the Palace stage. Other activities include photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, cupcake decorating with Hardcore Sweet Cupcakes; holiday craft stations; themed story time with the Literacy Volunteers of Greater Waterbury; hot chocolate; sweet treats; live holiday performances and more.
