WSO Presents 'Bak' to the Future' Sunday, April 21st @ 4pm - A Dynamic Viola Duo, LitchfieldWSO is thrilled to offer up a novel strings concert inspired by our hands down fan favorite guest artist from our '23 March Mozart concert, who couldn't forget the charismatic dashing musician who transported us with his performance.

The Waterbury Symphony will present the dynamic viola duo Jordan and Rubina Bak, in a chamber concert showcasing a diverse repertoire and will take the audience on an exciting musical journey from classical masterpieces to contemporary works. The duo is led by Jordan Bak, the award-winning Jamaican-American violist recently named one of ClassicFM’s “30 Under 30” Rising Stars and will be familiar to WSO audiences who attended the March 2023 Mozart Concert last year. Jordan, the featured viola guest artist at that WSO program, earned a standing ovation with his dynamic performance.
Rubina Bak, who earned her Master of Musical Arts from Yale School of Music was recently awarded The Malcolm L. Mitchell and Donald M. Roberts Class of 1957 Prize from the Yale School of Music, and has performed internationally.
Doug Donato, WSO’s Executive Director enthused “This wonderful program featuring works from the baroque era – all the way to the modern day is truly an exciting journey through the history of chamber music!” The performance, at Litchfield Community Center will be followed by a complimentary reception.
