February is Children’s Dental Health Month!
Did you know dental cavities are one of the most common chronic diseases in children and teens? Cavities are caused by a breakdown of the tooth enamel produced by bacteria that collects on the teeth. Left untreated, cavities can cause pain, infection, and problems eating, speaking, and learning.
The care of your child’s teeth and gums begins with you. With the foundation of good oral hygiene, cavities are largely preventable. Daily brushing, flossing and dental check-ups every six months can help prevent tooth decay in your loved ones.
