We are excited to share that we have received the first doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine and have already started to vaccinate our frontline healthcare workers. We are following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the state of Connecticut by using this first batch of vaccines for our staff.

At this time, we are not vaccinating patients. Adults 65 years and older and high-risk individuals could be eligible for the vaccine in the coming months. We anticipate a second phase of distribution for all other patients will start in the spring.

Safety First

While we continue to vaccinate our employees, know that there will be no change to the services we offer. Itβs important that you donβt delay medical care. Our emergency rooms are open 24/7. We continue to perform surgeries and procedures in our hospitals. Telehealth services, in person appointments and outpatient procedures are all available. If youβre experiencing a medical emergency, including heart attack or stroke, get help right away.
