New Canaan P&Z Decides On Grace Farms Foundation Multi-Use Permit

The matter had been discussed by the town's Planning and Zoning Commission for a year.

NEW CANAAN, CT — The New Canaan Planning and Zoning Commission Tuesday approved an application by the Grace Farms Foundation to utilize its site on Lukes Wood Road for multiple uses, reports the New Canaan Advertiser.

The commission's unanimous decision ends a year's worth of discussion and work on the matter, but the approval still carries dozens of conditions for what types of activities are permitted and when. The foundation had sought to add club and philanthropic uses at its 80-acre site.

Among the approved conditions are the hours and days of operation, permitted crowd sizes, traffic and parking guidelines and others. In a statement to the publication, foundation President Sharon Prince expressed the group's appreciation of the commission's approval, and thanked the town's residents for their support.
