Former New Canaan Gadfly Reportedly Leaves Town

Over the years, he filed multiple lawsuits against New Canaan officials.

NEW CANAAN, CT — Unsuccessful First Selectman candidate Michael Nowacki has sold his New Canaan home and moved away, reports the New Canaan Advertiser, ending one of the more contentious periods in recent town history.

Nowacki sold his Lost District Drive home for $1.18 million, according to the publication, down from the initial listing price of $1.77 million. Where he moved was not immediately known, but in the past the retiree had said that he was planning to move to California.

In recent years, the government gadfly had sued or threatened to sue numerous town officials, often for what he considered to be efforts to improve the town.
