NEW CANAAN, CT — As Fotis Dulos and his defense attorney, Norm Pattis, prepare to argue for the removal of a gag order by the court in the case, an interview by Fotis Dulos in a Greek magazine has stirred up controversy in the disappearance of New Canaan mother-of-five Jennifer Farber Dulos.

In the Greek-language news magazine "Proto Thema," Fotis Dulos is quoted speaking about his estranged wife's supposed "serious psychological problems" which contributed to the couple's divorce.

"My marriage has not been so happy since 2010," he told the magazine, according to Google Translate. "Jennifer has gradually begun to take me out of her life and has become increasingly distant, a hermit. I tried hard to reach out and understand what was happening, but it never felt better. I'm sorry to say it, but Jennifer was suffering from serious psychological problems that I didn't immediately understand and didn't want to go into further. I put it aside because I was in love with her and focused on other things that make our lives beautiful. Our children were growing up beautifully, my job was going great and I was trying to enjoy life despite the fact that at my wedding I was no longer happy. "

It is not the first time that Fotis Dulos has discussed his estranged wife's mental state, echoing some of the same sentiments in an interview on NBC's Dateline. Additionally, Pattis also has floated similar statements in court about Jennifer Dulos.

Both Troconis and Fotis Dulos have been charged in connection with Jennifer Dulos' disappearance on May 24. He is due back in Stamford Superior Court on Oct. 4.

On Tuesday, "The Dr. Oz Show" again featured a segment on the case, updating viewers on some of its latest turns, such as the recent gag order and a judge chastising Fotis Dulos over not properly charging the GPS monitoring device he is required to wear on his leg.
