Friction Leads To Shutdown Of New Canaan's Wireless Subcommittee: Report

The Planning and Zoning group was studying new P&Z regulations.

NEW CANAAN, CT — The New Canaan Planning and Zoning Commission has dissolved its Wireless Communications Subcommittee after politics became an issue, reports the New Canaan News.

The five-member subcommittee - made up of Daniel Radman, Elizabeth DeLuca, Jack Flynn, Bill Redman and Kent Turner - had begun to overstep its bounds, according to P&Z Chair John Goodwin.

The group had been charged with studying new P&Z regulations pertaining to wireless technology, at a time when the town continues to grapple with the controversial issue of cell towers.
