Lock Your Vehicles, New Canaan, Police Warn
The department recently took to Twitter again to urge residents to do their part to prevent vehicle thefts and burglaries.

NEW CANAAN, CT — With vehicle thefts and burglaries continuing to occur in New Canaan and nearby communities, the New Canaan Police Department is again warning residents to lock their cars and remove valuables from sight.
A recent post on the department's Twitter page directed readers to Instangram, where the department urged residents to do their part to protect against such crimes. The post was the latest in what has been an ongoing dialogue between police and the community about stolen cars.
"It doesn’t matter if you live on or near a road in close proximity to parkway exits or town lines- convenience theft is happening all over town and in neighboring towns," wrote New Canaan police.
