Mailboxes Continue To Be 'Compromised,' New Canaan PD Says
Last month, the department warned residents that mail was being stolen from local mailboxes. It's still happening.

NEW CANAAN, CT — Mailboxes in New Canaan continue to be "compromised," according to New Canaan police, prompting a new warning Thursday for residents to be on the lookout for the thieves.
The department warned residents last month that mail was being stolen from public and private mailboxes, often checks or other personal documents.
Some thieves are reportedly using devices to extract mail from blue postal boxes, and some are hitting residential boxes with the red flags up indicating that there is mail to be picked up.
