Missing Mom Case: Grandmother Seeks Sole Custody Of 5 Children
New Canaan resident Jennifer Farber Dulos has been missing since May 24.
NEW CANAAN, CT — The mother of Jennifer Farber Dulos is seeking sole custody of her five grandchildren - the children of missing New Canaan resident Jennifer Dulos and Fotis Dulos - after last week being awarded temporary custody, according to a July 30 filing in Stamford Superior Court.
The five children have been living with Gloria Farber since Jennifer Dulos' disappearance on May 24, and if granted sole custody Farber would have control over all decisions pertaining to the children, whose ages are 13, 13, 10, 10 and eight.
Jennifer Dulos and Fotis Dulos were in the midst of a contentious divorce and child custody battle at the time of her disappearance. A week following the disappearance, Fotis Dulos and his now ex-girlfriend Michelle Troconis were arrested on charges of tampering with evidence and hindering a prosecution in connection with the disappearance.

Farber's motion paints a negative portrait of Fotis Dulos as a parent, using examples and language from Judge Donna Heller's decision granting temporary custody to Farber. The decision says that Fotis Dulos was not credible.
In a separate but related matter, attorneys for Fotis Dulos Monday filed a motion withdrawing his move to stop the divorce in light of Jennifer Dulos' disappearance. They had essentially argued that with her missing, the case should not proceed. The attorneys did not give a reason for dropping the request.

Fotis Dulos is scheduled to be back in Stamford Superior Court on Aug. 9 in connection with the criminal charges.
