NEW CANAAN, CT — July 24 marks the two-month point in the disappearance of New Canaan mother-of-five Jennifer Farber Dulos, and the New Canaan Police Department says investigators are continuing to pour through tips and information in connection with the case.

"This remains a very active and dynamic investigation that involves dozens of investigators," said New Canaan Police Lt. Jason Ferraro in a statement Wednesday, marking the two-month point. "At this time a component of the investigation includes filtering through the tips and leads that continue to come in to the tip line and through the website. Information from the public has aided this investigation. Investigators have received over 1,200 tips regarding the disappearance of Jennifer and nearly 80 responses with video surveillance from homes or businesses.

"In addition both physical and digital evidence is continuing to be processed and reviewed to aide in the investigation."

Jennifer Farber Dulos has not been seen since the morning of May 24 after she dropped her children off at school, and according to police, she may have been the victim of a violent attack that morning, based on blood and other evidence found at her New Canaan home.

Her estranged husband, Fotis Dulos, and his ex-girlfriend, Michelle Troconis, have been charged with evidence tampering and hindering a prosecution in connection with the case, and their cases are pending in Stamford Superior Court. Jennifer and Fotis Dulos were in the midst of a contentious divorce and child custody battle at the time of her disappearance.

Police accuse Fotis Dulos and Troconis of discarding items in the Hartford area that were stained with Jennifer Dulos' blood. In the immediate weeks following the disappearance, New Canaan and state police searched a host of homes and locations throughout Connecticut looking for clues to her whereabouts, but they have so far come up empty.

In a court filing on Wednesday, Norm Pattis, Fotis Dulos' attorney, requested charges against his client be dismissed, in part because Fotis Dulos has not been charged with an underlying crime to warrant tampering or hindering violations.

On Wednesday, Carrie Luft, spokesperson for Jennifer Farber Dulos' family and friends also issued a statement marking the two-month point in the disappearance:

Today marks two months since Jennifer, beloved mother, daughter, sister, cousin, and friend, disappeared. We miss her beyond words. Please know that the five children are doing well, surrounded by love and support.

The flow of support from the New Canaan and Farmington/Avon communities, individuals as well as organizations, has helped keep us going during this ordeal. We are very grateful to all of you. And we express our deepest thanks to the New Canaan and Connecticut State police for their tireless efforts on the case.

As July nears an end, we’re reminded of Jennifer’s love for the Fire Island beach she visited as a girl. Last summer she was so happy to be able to share her favorite childhood spot with her own children.
