More Information Reportedly Sought For New Canaan Sports Field Renovations
The Board of Finance recently approved an additional $800,000 for the project.
NEW CANAAN, CT — More information is being sought to justify the additional $800,000 requested for renovation work on New Canaan High School and Waveny Park sports fields, reports the New Canaan Advertiser.
Earlier this month, the Board of Finance approved the request, but members were not happy about it, in part because they were not informed earlier that more money might be needed. The budget for the improvement project has swelled to about $5.8 million.
The $800,000 request is expected to be discussed at the Sept. 27 Town Council meeting, which must also approve it.
