Negotiations Continue Over New Canaan Sober House: Report

The town's Zoning Board of Appeals postponed another hearing concerning the Lighthouse.

NEW CANAAN, CT — Discussions are continuing between West Avenue area neighbors and the Lighthouse, a sober house that was scheduled to be the subject of a New Canaan Zoning Board of Appeals hearing Monday that is being delayed until June.

The New Canaan News reports that the two sides are talking, but an attorney for the facility is currently on vacation which is temporarily slowing down any serious discussions.

Resident Thom Harrow appealed the zoning decision to allow the facility, which the Monday hearing was going to be about. Harrow is one of the neighbors in discussions with the Lighthouse, and those talks have progressed to the point that a resolution reportedly might be within reach.
