The victim told police the man allegedly said inappropriate things to her.

NEW CANAAN, CT — A suspect has been interviewed by New Canaan police in connection with a Tuesday incident where a female jogger was allegedly verbally accosted while running in Waveny Park.

The man voluntarily came into police headquarters on Thursday morning to discuss the incident, after seeing press reports about it. New Canaan police believe it was an isolated incident, and an arrest is expected.

"The male admitted to his involvement in this incident and provided specific details as to what took place confirming he was in fact the suspect," wrote New Canaan police in a statement. "This investigation is still ongoing in terms of determining appropriate charges and completing the appropriate paperwork to make an arrest."
