New Canaan Dad Sentenced In Son's Fatal Overdose Case: Report

Christopher Lynch died of an overdose in September 2016.

NEW CANAAN, CT — Mark Lynch, the New Canaan father charged with providing his son with the heroin that killed him, was sentenced to three years in prison Friday, reports the New Canaan News.

Lynch's attorney had struck a plea deal with prosecutors in October for the three-year sentence, followed by seven years of a special form of parole. The 58-year-old pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide and sale of narcotics, according to the publication.

Christopher Lynch died of an overdose in September 2016. In a letter read in court from his mother, Pam Bacco, she wrote that Mark Lynch is an addict who has shown no remorse since the death.
