New Canaan Democrats Endorse New Council Member

Ken Campbell recently resigned from the Town Council due to a pending move out of state.

NEW CANAAN, CT — The New Canaan Democratic Town Committee announced this week the party is endorsing attorney Colm Dobbyn for the Town Council seat recently vacated by Ken Campbell, who is moving out of state.

Dobbyn, a corporate attorney with MasterCard International, ran unsuccessfully for a council seat in November, and has served for more than a decade on the town's Inland Wetlands Commission. He is a 24-year resident of New Canaan.

The Town Council is expected to vote soon on a new, short-term member to fill the seat. That person can then run for election in November for a full term.
