New Canaan Police Take Part In Distracted Driving Campaign

The department's Distracted Driving High Visibility Enforcement campaign will run until the end of the month, according to police.

NEW CANAAN, CT — The New Canaan Police Department will participate in a Distracted Driving High Visibility Enforcement campaign during the second half of October.

According to a news release, the enforcement campaign will run from Oct. 15-31, during which New Canaan police will be on patrol, using both marked and unmarked police vehicles, looking for distracted driving behaviors.

The goal of this campaign is to ensure compliance with traffic laws and keep the roads within New Canaan safe for drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians, according to police.
