New Elevator Location Determined At Waveny Mansion: Report
The new elevator will comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
NEW CANAAN, CT — A new elevator will be installed next to the grand stairway inside Waveny House, part of a host of renovations slated for the public mansion in New Canaan, writes the New Canaan News.
The birdcage-style elevator, which will comply with the American with Disabilities Act, will have to meet certain design and space challenges, or it will not be placed there, according to the publication.
If the elevator cannot fit in that location, there are four other locations in the mansion that are under consideration.
