No More Pop Up Park? New Canaan Chamber Of Commerce Pulls Support
The park has been a fixture in downtown Stamford in several of the past summers.

NEW CANAAN, CT — Whether there will be a Pop Up Park in downtown New Canaan this summer is an open question after the Chamber of Commerce pulled its support this week of the annual initiative, writes the New Canaan Advertiser.
The park has been set up on South Avenue, between Morse Court and Elm Street, for the past several years, and organizers reportedly are scrambling in an attempt to still open it this season.
According to chamber Executive Director Tucker Murphy, the business group was considered to be too sympathetic to merchants, some of whom differed on whether they wanted the annual park or not.
