PD: New Canaan Woman Took Part in Check Forging Scheme
Her alleged accomplice was arrested in August.

A New Canaan woman was arrested for her alleged part in a check forging scheme.
Kristina Greene, 23, was arrested Sept. 13 after going to Bridgeport Hospital. She was harged with third-degree forgery, sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy.
Her alleged accomplice Justin Formentin, 22, turned himself into police on Aug. 8.

Reported victims said that they let Greene stay with them in April, police said. They noticed checks and cash were missing. She claimed she didn’t take them.
A number of checks were forged and cashed, according to police.

Formentin’s name was signed on the back of checks along with another suspect. A total of $530 was taken.
