STAMFORD, CT — Michelle Troconis' attorney and the prosecuting lawyers in the Jennifer Farber Dulos disappearance case will have a date in court in February to argue for each other's removal in the case, following a hearing this week, reported the Stamford Advocate.

The defense and the prosecution have been sparring over conduct in the case in recent weeks, as each has sought to disqualify the other, largely over accusations of mishandling of evidence by both sides.

Judge Gary White set a court date of Feb. 23, at which time he will hear arguments why each side believes the other should be disqualified.

Troconis is facing a charge of conspiracy to commit murder in the disappearance of Jennifer Dulos, who vanished from her New Canaan home on May 24, 2019, and is presumed to be dead. Her body has not been found.

The late Fotis Dulos, Jennifer's estranged husband and Troconis' former boyfriend, was charged with kidnapping and murdering her, but he never stood trial. He took his own life in January 2020.

Troconis and former attorney Kent Mawhinney, a former friend of Fotis', are accused of assisting Fotis Dulos in the murder plot, but both have pleaded not guilty.

Though Troconis is free on bail, Mawhinney is behind bars after prosecutors claimed he tampered with the GPS monitoring device on his ankle.
